Download the application from the homepage and then install it onto computer. Run it and come to the main interface of VeryPDF PDF Font Subset Tool as shown in Figure 1.

Add your PDF files by clicking button Add under the File List. Or you can drag your PDF files form Windows Explorer and drop them into the interface. The buttons Remove and Remove All are for removing unwanted items in the file list. Set a path to save the processed PDF files in Output Folder. Now click the button Option and come to the Option dialog box to get fonts subset.
Figure 2 shows the Option dialog box to subset fonts. Check the box Fonts and enable the options in the right panel of the dialog box. Check the boxes of Compress Fonts and Subset Fonts, and click Apply. Then you will return to the main interface of the application.

In the main interface of VeryPDF PDF Font Subset Tool, click Start and then your selected PDF files will be processed with the set options. After subsetting fonts of PDF, the file size of textual PDF will be reduced obviously.
To a scanned PDF which has only images but no text, compress images of it will tremendously reduce the file size. In this situation, please check the option Image in the Option dialog box.
