Download the installer and then install it following the instruction. After installation, you would see the application in the Applications of your Mac system. Run the application, you will see the interface as displayed in the following image.

Click the button Open to load a PDF file into the application. The pages will be previewed on the left panel. The current page will be displayed in the upper-right part of the interface. You can use the Up and Down arrow buttons to view the previous and next page of the PDF. The Zoom In and Out buttons are for zooming the page.
Before exporting the content of PDF, you need to specify the table area. Click the button and then draw a rectangle in the PDF page. The text covered by the rectangle will be extracted and previewed in a work sheet format on the lower-right part of the interface. Then click the button , and move the mouse cursor to the top or bottom border line of the rectangle. After the mouse cursor becomes a cross "+", press the left button of the mouse and draw a vertical line. These vertical lines will divide the text to separated columns. Text separated by the lines will be exported to different columns. You can preview the division effect on the lower-right panel. To add a blank column, please draw two vertical lines and make sure there is no text between the two lines. Buttons are used to Remove the table and Remove selected line. To apply the column division settings to all other pages of the loaded PDF, click the button Apply to All.
After determining the table content and columns, click Save button , choose Excel or CSV in the Save File dialog, and then save the file . The extracted table is now saved in Excel work sheet or CSV by VeryPDF PDF Table Extractor for Mac.
