Image Text Recognizer is an OCR text recognition application that is able to recognize and extract text from images. It supports input images of BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and images capsulated in PDF. After recognizing, it can save the recognized text to Word or plain text files.
You can use Image Text Recognizer for free for limited times. After you download, install and run the application, you can see the fresh interface as shown in Figure 1.

This article will show you how to recognize text from images and images in PDF.
On the menu bar, select File -> Open to open an image file or PDF file. Then the image will be previewed in the left part of the interface window.
Select Command -> OCR, and then the application will recognize the text in the image. The text will output into the text box on the right. The text is editable, and you can edit it for, e.g., adding more content.
After editing the recognized text, select File -> Save or Save As to save the text to a textual file. This application supports output format like Word, RTF, and plain text.
If the input file is multipage, for example, multipage PDF or TIFF, you can let the application to recognize the text in one page or all pages. Click and to navigate to the page and then perform OCR recognition, the text in the current page will be recognized. To recognize or the text in all pages of the current opened file, select File -> OCR All Pages, then the application will recognize all the page.
The user interface of Image Text Recognizer is similar to Microsoft Office, and you will feel easy to use it. After evaluating the application, if you find it useful, please buy a license for it.
