Image to RTF OCR Converter is an OCR recognition application. It uses optical character recognition to recognize text in image and saves the text to RTF file. The source input images can be of common image formats such as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF. It also supports images in PDF files.
Image to RTF OCR Converter is free to download and evaluate. The main interface is shown in Figure 1. This article presents the operation steps for recognizing characters of images and save the recognized text to RTF.

Open an image, for example, a JPG image to recognize. Select File -> Open to open the JPG image file. Then the image will be displayed in the left part of the interface.
Recognize the text in the JPG image. Select Command -> OCR, and then the application will start to recognize the text in the image. Wait a while, and then the recognized text will be output to the text editing box on the right.
Edit the text if needed. Click button , and then the application will try to check the misspelling of the recognized text.
Use Format -> Word Wrap to enable or disable the Word Wrap view of the recognized text. Select Format -> Font, and then you set the font, font size, font color, and font style for the recognized text. Format -> Change Case change the letter case of the recognized text. File -> Remove Line Breaks removes line breaks of the recognized text.
The default supported recognition language is English, and you can download other OCR packages of language. Select Settings -> Download Language Data, and choose a language in the download dialog box. After downloading a language package, restart the application, and the package will be effective.
Choose the language in dropdown list and the application will use the selected language package to recognize the JPG image.
