PDF Font Data Optimizer

If you want to optimize PDF font on your Macintosh, you can use the application PDF Font Data Optimizer to help you. It is a specially designed application for Mac system to optimize PDF document. In this page, you can see how to use this application. In addition, PDF Font Data Optimizer also supports to edit PDF description such as Title, Creator, Producer, etc.

After downloading PDF Font Data Optimizer to your computer, please double click the installer to install it on your computer. It is not a difficulty as long as you follow the installation wizard to fulfill the installation procedure.

Then please open PDF Font Data Optimizer by double clicking the app icon or right clicking the icon and clicking Open option in floating item. In the interface of PDF Font Data Optimizer, you are allowed to add PDF document. You can see interface of PDF in Figure 1.

Please click Add button to open a window which is used to pick PDF document from it. PDF Font Data Optimizer also supports to drag and drop the file into its file list, which is more convenient. To remove PDF from the file list one by one or for one time, you can use the button Remove or Remove All.

Then please click Option button to open Option dialog box in which you can optimize PDF font. Please check Fonts option to open Fonts Tab which is shown in Figure 2. There are three optimizing methods for your reference: Embed All Fonts, Compress Fonts and Subset Fonts. You can select any one or ones of them.

You can also edit PDF description in this dialog box. Please click Description option to open Description Tab as illustrated in Figure 3. You can input PDF Title, Author, Subject, etc. in related edit boxes. If you want to create PDF/A document, you can check the option Generate a PDF/A File.

Then please click Apply button to save all the changes you have made and close this dialog box. It will return to the interface of PDF Font Data Optimizer. You need to input the output location in Output Folder text box or choose one in popup window opened by clicking the side button. At last, please click Start button to start optimize PDF font.
