PDF Document Content Splitter for Mac is designed and developed for splitting PDF by content. This application is different from other PDF splitters which split PDF file by page number or file size, it can split PDF file by the text in specified position in PDF page.
The following is a brief instruction to splitting PDF by PDF Document Content Splitter for Mac.
The application is free for downloading and evaluation. After installing and running the application, you will see the interface as displayed in Figure 1. In the interface, PDF files to be split are listed in the File List in the upper part. To add PDF files into the file list, click button Add. This application splits PDF according to split rule created based on the content of the first PDF file in the file list. So you can use button Up and Down to move the right PDF file to the first position of the file list.

To create a split rule, click button Rule, and then comes the Rule window as shown in Figure 2. The first page of first PDF is displayed as default in the window, and you can navigate to other pages using the navigation buttons. The two zoom buttons are for the page view zoom. Select and click one word in the PDF, then click the button Make it be the rule. Then the application stores and displays the coordinate and content of the text in text box Rule Content. Click Save Rule As, then the application creates a rule with the selected coordinate and content.

In the main interface, choose a rule in Rule Name dropdown list and set an Output Folder to save split PDF files. With a split rule, you have to choose a Split Method to tell the application how to use the rule and split PDF. The last step is clicking button Split to start the split process.
