PDF Invoice Content Splitter for Mac

PDF Invoice Content Splitter for Mac is a PDF splitter developed for Mac OS X. It splits PDF by the content text in specified position in PDF page, and this is always helpful for splitting PDF documents like invoices that have the same layout and many common texts.

PDF Invoice Content Splitter for Mac is much easier to use, and the following paragraphs will show the basic usage.

Download the installer of the application to your Mac OS X computer, and install it following the instructions of the installer. The application is free for evaluation, and you will get limited times of free trial.

The main interface is displayed in Figure 1. The first step is to tell the application which PDF files to split. Click button Add and select PDF files for splitting. The selected PDF files will be shown in File List in the top. The application split the added PDF files based on the text and position specified in the first PDF in the file list, so please use buttons Up and Down to move the proper PDF file to the first position of the file list.

Click button Rule in the main interface, and you will see the Rule window for creating a rule. The first PDF is displayed in the window, and you can navigate the pages by the navigation buttons. In the page, click one word that is selected as rule criterion. Click the small button Make it be the rule, then the application will stores the position coordinate and the text. Input a name and click Save Rule As, and then the text and position are saved as a rule.

Return to the main interface, select one saved rule in dropdown list Rule Name, and then choose a directory for saving split PDF in Output Folder.

In dropdown list Split Method, the application provides three methods to use the rule. They are:

1. Split when the next page has different text in the specified position. The application searches the text in the given coordinate of all PDF pages and then compares the text in the position. If the text of the next page is different from the one in the corresponding position of the current page, the application will split the PDF there.

2. Split when the next page has text in the specified position. The application searches all pages with the specified position, and split the PDF where the position of the next page is not empty (has text).

3. Use Method 1 and group pages containing the same text together. The application splits the PDF using method 1. Then the application compares all texts at the given coordinate of all pages, the pages having the same text will be group together to one single PDF.

After setting all options, click button Split, and the selected PDF files will be split by PDF Invoice Content Splitter for Mac. The split PDF files are saved in the Output Folder.
