PDF Page Content Splitter for Mac is a smart splitting tool that can split PDF files by PDF content. It can decide where to split a PDF file by the text in a specified position. This article presents the basic usage of the application.
PDF Page Content Splitter for Mac is free for evaluation. Download, install the application, and then you will find it in Applications of Mac OS. Run the application, you will see the main interface as shown in Figure 1.

In the upper part of the interface, it is a File List, and you may add those PDF files that will be split to the file list. Click button Add, and then select PDF files, then the selected PDF files will be in the file list.
This application split PDF on account of the text in specified position. The text and corresponding positions are given as a rule. Click button Rule, then you will see the Rule window shown in Figure 2.

You will see that the first PDF is displayed in the window. Select a word and click it in the PDF page, and then click the small button Make it be the rule. Then the application will store the selected text and its position in a PDF page. Enter a string in the text box and click button Save Rule As, then the rule will be created.
In the main interface, select the saved rule in dropdown list Rule Name, and then set an Output Folder to save the split PDF files. In dropdown list Split Method, you have three methods to split your PDF files. The first one is Split when the next page has different text in the specified position. Using this method, the application will find the text in specified position in all pages of PDF, and split the PDF where the text in the position in the text page is different from the text in the current page.
This makes that the all pages that have different text in the given position will be split to different PDF files.
