In many situations, you need to share your PDF documents with other people, but you do not want the others to modify your PDF. Now it means that you need VeryPDF PDF Protector for Mac which protects your PDF with high level security level passwords.
VeryPDF PDF Protector for Mac is a special tool for protecting your PDF on Mac computers. It is supported by the later version Mac OS X systems, including Mac OS v 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7. This application can encrypt your multiple PDF, in batches, with user password or/and owner password.

Click folder button beside the Output Folder input box to browse for a directory to save your protected PDF. Click Option, and then, you will see the Option dialog as shown in Figure 2.

In the option dialog, you firstly need to select password strength in dropdown box of Security Level, and High - 128-bit is recommended. Secondly, input an owner password and select which permissions other user can access in User Permissions.
If you uncheck the box before Allow Modifying Content, then the other users will not have the permission to modify your PDF without inputting the correct owner password. After setting all the permission options, click Apply, and then go to the main interface of VeryPDF PDF Protector for Mac.
At the last step, click Encrypt, and then the PDF in the process queue will be protected with your set password and permission control.
